Continuous Spray Skin Lubricant
TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant For years we have been massive advocates of Body Glide as an effective preventative aid for runners in preventing chaffing, hotspots and blistering. We have never had a problem with Body Glide and have recommended the product to hundreds of runners and triathletes. In fact, we have been so happy with the product, we have never even been tempted to try (or risk using) an alternative brand of skin lubricant. Pure and simple, Body Glide just worked! This all changed last year however, when we met the team from SBR Body Care at the Gold Coast Marathon Expo. Their team of experienced runners and triathletes were so enthusiastic about their personal skin lubricant product called TRISLIDE, we started to wonder if there could be an viable alternative to Body Glide on the Australian market. After a few emails between Australian Marathon Reviews and the SBT Body Care Team, we agreed to trial the product over a number of months, and we are pleased to provide the following review of this very innovative running, cycling and swimming product. Product Background Information SBR’s Anti-Chafe Continuous Spray Lubricant is the only aerosol lubricant currently available for athletes. The major advantage of a aerosol lubricant is that athletes don’t need to smear their hands with lubricant or a chamois cream when applying to the body and it’s easy to apply to all of those “hard to reach” areas. The formula created by SBR for Trislide provides an even coating of lubricant on the skin and it product feels slick and silky. The lubricant spray can also be used on an athletes bike chamois, but also for any other body part that is susceptible to hotspots and chafing including under bra straps, inner thighs, or in Australian Marathon Reviews personal case, between our toes. Trislide is safe to use for wetsuits and will not damage neoprene. Many swimmers and triathletes are using the product on wetsuit neck, sleeve, and leg openings, which ensures an easier entry and removal of wetsuits. The SBR Trislide Anti-Chafe Spray Lubricant is sweatproof and waterproof and the product is easily removed with soap & water. Trislide Spray Australian Marathon Reviews Product Review Our Review Of TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant Australian Marathon Reviews started using TRISLIDE Aerosol Skin Lubricant in July at the Gold Coast Marathon and have now used the product for six months. During this period we also used TRISLIDE during our races at the Perth City to Surf Half & Full Marathons, iStadium Newcastle Half Marathon, the Chicago Marathon and the 2016 Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge’s 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon races in Florida. We have also used TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant as a chamois cream during our long bike rides. Over the six month period, we have been very impressed with this very innovative product. The packaging of the product (the can) and its application (a continuous aerosol spray) makes carrying the product and applying it very easy. The aerosol spray also makes it very easy to apply the skin lubricant to those hard to reach to areas. The lubricant has a very nice feel to it and does not feel wet when its applied. Their is no noticeable scent of the lubricant and we found the the TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant remained on our body and performed well for many hours (4 hours plus) during our workouts and races. Removal of the product was simple and was achieved easily during our post workout shower with soap and water. During our six month trial of TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant the product prevented chafing, hot spots and blisters, on all but one occasion. During John’s first application of the product at the Gold Coast Marathon, he applied TRISLIDE to the toes of each foot as he always had done with Body Glide. However, due to the product being so easy to apply he decided to also spray the ball and the heal of each foot. In hindsight this was a huge mistake as although the product protected his toes perfectly, the lubricant ensured that the heal and the ball of the foot also moved freely in his socks and shoes which created a number of hotspots. To be clear, this was a user error by John and not a fault of the product but it is worth sharing with our community as this lubricant is so effective, you want to be careful where you use it, otherwise you may be slipping and sliding your way through an entire 42.2km race. Australian Marathon Reviews Recommendation It s fair to say that we have been really impressed with TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant. This innovative product will assist athletes to avoid potentially disabling chaffing, hotspots and blisters. In addition, the product acts as an amazing chamois crème during long bike rides and makes getting a wetsuit on and off, so much easier for swimmers and triathletes. Trislide performed extremely well during each of our races especially in Florida as we had hot, wet and very humid weather over the four days of racing in January and thanks to TRISLIDE Aerosal Skin Lubricant, we finished the challenge without any blisters or chafing. The product in Australia retails for $28.85 and one can of TRISLIDE was sufficient for each of us over the entire six month trial period. We highly recommend Trislide to all of our readers.
